The 2025 Honda Rebel 500 will be sold exclusively through BigWing Topline showrooms, with customer deliveries set to begin in June.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has rolled out the eagerly anticipated Rebel 500 cruiser, marking a fresh milestone in its premium range. Tagged at ₹5.12 lakh (ex‑showroom, Gurugram), the midsize machine is sold exclusively through BigWing Topline dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with bookings open now and deliveries slated for June 2025.
Stylistically, the 2025 Rebel 500 leans into classic bobber cues: a low‑slung profile, matte‑black finishes, wide bars, chunky rubber, and a steeply raked fuel tank—all wrapped in stripped‑down bodywork that oozes custom‑bike attitude.
Power comes from a 471 cc liquid‑cooled, eight‑valve parallel‑twin producing 45.6 hp at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Geared for punchy mid‑range torque, it pairs with a six‑speed gearbox, while a throaty exhaust note reinforces the Rebel’s retro vibe.

Built around a tubular‑steel chassis, the Rebel 500 rides on Showa telescopic forks up front and twin rear shocks out back. Stopping power comes from a 296 mm front rotor and 240 mm rear rotor, both governed by dual‑channel ABS. With its ultra‑low 690 mm saddle, the bike stays friendly to shorter riders while still delivering laid‑back cruiser ergonomics.
Even with a stretched wheelbase and chunky tyres, Honda says the Rebel remains easy to manoeuvre at parking‑lot pace. All‑LED lighting—capped by a classic round headlamp—and a tidy LCD dash modernise the old‑school vibe. The 2025 model lands in a single trim, dressed in Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic.

The Rebel 500 comes equipped from the factory with Dunlop tyres—130/90-16 at the front and 150/80-16 at the rear. Although initially available only in three cities, customers can also place bookings online through Honda BigWing India’s official website. Speaking about the launch, Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, stated.
“We’re thrilled to introduce the Rebel 500 to the Indian market. Motorcycle fans have been anticipating this model for years, and it’s now officially here. Crafted to help riders showcase their unique personality, the Rebel 500 combines classic cruiser aesthetics with contemporary features to truly stand out. Boasting a distinctive street presence, a powerful torque-rich engine, and relaxed riding ergonomics, the Rebel 500 is ideal for those seeking a bike that’s both exciting to ride and a genuine reflection of their spirit.”
